Road Trip Gozo

Day 5. Annecy, France - Cannobio, Italy.

I have been having trouble getting Internet connections in Italy hence the much delayed entry. We are now on day 5 of our trip and 950 miles into our journey and heading for the Mont Blanc tunnel. The scenery as we drive towards the Alps is spectacular, beautiful countryside with the trees on the mountain slopes and thick snow all around, accept the roads these are completely clear.

The toll fee for the tunnel itself was a bit of a shock at €32.00. On leaving the 7 mile tunnel and arriving into Italy we are greeted by brilliant sunshine. We now headed towards an agrotourismo B&B that we had been told about but after 2 hours of searching we could not locate it and so found a nice 3* hotel on the coast of Lake Maggiore.
