The First Big Step.

Gill and I have taken the first big step towards our move to Gozo next year, we have sold our house here in the UK. The house has been on the market now for 4 weeks and after a constant stream of people through the door analysing every room in detail we have had an offer and we have excepted. It has been a nightmare living in the house but at the same time trying to keep it looking like a show home for the benefit of those viewing.

It will be at least another 2 months before we have to move out as all the legal stuff, paperwork etc has to be dealt with. We will have to find rented accommodation for the remainder of our stay here in the UK.

Why have I sold now if I am not moving until next year? Well it is not something I wanted to get bogged down with immediately prior to leaving the country, We are going to have a lot to do as it is and this way we get this headache, (I don't see how you can describe the selling of a house anything other than a headache) out of the way early.
