Soho, Jimi Hendrix & the Blues.

Coming up in the next couple of weeks are the first of three leaving party's planned prior to our Gozo departure.

The first is a small gathering at "ain't nothin but" in Kingly Street Soho close to Carnaby Street also known as "The Blues Bar". I will be there on the evening of Thursday March 6th with a few of my colleagues, (drinking that is not playing) if you are in the area come say hello, I am not sure who is playing yet.

For those that don't know the bar it is the only place in the UK playing live blues 7 nights a week and has been described "As close to a Southern juke joint as one is likely to find on this side of the Atlantic"..........

Also in Soho until the 8th March at the Blink Gallery in Poland Street, if your nostalgic for the days when being a musician meant more than having outrageous hair and skinny jeans there is a Photo exhibition of pictures from the late great Jimi Hendrix, pictures taken by some of the greatest photographers of the time, some of them never seen before in the UK. I have not been yet but will be taking a look in the next few days.

"Blues is easy to play, but hard to feel." Jimi Hendrix
