Road Trip London - Gozo

Day 16 Green Manors, Castoreal, Sicily.

Green Manors is a 1600's Manor House, it was restored around 5 years ago and the restoration took 2 years to complete. This lovely 10 bedroom house is run by Pierangela, Chris and Paolo whom are outstanding hosts and are happy to cater for your every need, Pierangela particularly seems to have this second sense of being able to anticipate what your next requirement will be before you yourself know.

On arrival we were shown to our room complete with both balcony and it's own sun terrace, following this an impressive buffet lunch was quickly assembled. Dinning guests are provided with silver cutlery, and linen napkins, food produce is sourced either locally or produced on the premises. Outside is a large terrace and pool area and directly opposite is a type of wildlife park with peacocks and ponies. The family are somewhat multilingual so communication was no problem where ever you come from, I heard at least 4 different languages in use. What I find astonishing is that this is a small country hotel, not a 4 or 5 star hotel, the quality of rooms, quality of food and attention to detail would put some 4 or 5 star hotels that I have stayed at to shame.
Green Manors has been one of the highlights of our trip.
Tomorrow we head for the southern part of Sicily to sort out our ferry tickets for Malta.
