Road Trip London - Gozo
Day 15 Curinga, Italy - Castoreal, Sicily, Italy.

We will head for Sicily today the ferry is only about an hours drive away on the autostrada. The ferry port at Reggio Calabria was easy to find and well signposted.

On our arrival Gill jumped out of the car to get some cash from the cash machine and was immediately accosted by a man wanting to know if we were looking for ferry tickets, yes she replied, he quickly showed her where the ticket office was and purchased the required ticket and pointed us in the right direction, Gill gave him a tip for his trouble.

We were on board the ferry in no time, and were quickly under way to Sicily, only about a 15 min crossing. Gill then realised that she did not have her purse she quickly blamed the dodgy looking man at the ticketing office in Reggio at the ferry port that assisted her buy the ticket, and maybe he was not just after the 1 euro tip after all. Following a full three minutes of panic she found her purse, it had fallen out of her bag and on to the floor of the car, panic over, apologies to the dodgy looking bloke at Reggio.

We quickly found our way onto the autostrada again and our destination was to be Green Manors a restored 1600s manor house 1 hours drive away, we will be staying there for 2 nights. More about that tommorrow.

Ah Ha. Only just found your blog, what a muppet I am !. Just read all 15 days in one hit, which was tiring - but although not on a par with the driving you're doing.

Sounds like a lot of fun so far (Gill's food poisoning aside). Can you send of the nice weather our way please !.
