Eating out on Gozo.

When you consider how small Gozo is (population around 25,000), the island has a remarkable number of restaurants serving very good quality food.
One of the restaurants I we had the pleasure of visiting was -

  • Il-Panzier - is in the narrow back streets of Victoria the capital of Gozo and can be a problem to find, ask any of the locals and they will point you in the right direction. The food served here is Sicilian and you would be served by Valentino and Alexandra, they are both extremely passionate about the food they serve, are also exclusive importers of a range of Sicilian wines. The menu concentrates on a small number of dishes because nothing is pre-prepared, everything is freshly cooked as soon as you place the order and this shows in the cooking, fresh ingredients freshly cooked, equals top grub. For desert quite simply the best tiramisu I have ever tasted.
Highly Recommended.

Food is the most primitive form of comfort.
